Hello friends! Today is a big, important day. No, just kidding. But today is the day I decided to do the Get To Know Me tag. Yes. By now you all know how I don’t like talking about myself much, well…this is for you. Or not, because to be honest, books are much, much more interesting than I am, ahah.

You can thank the WONDERFUL Geraldine @Corraling Books and the incredible Denise @ The Bibliolater for tagging me to do this. Without those amazing girls, I probably wouldn’t be talking about myself anytime soon, ahah. Alright, let’s answer some questions now…

Yes, this is me. Well, three years ago, but that still counts does it?

Vital Stats 📈

Name: Marie. A pretty common name, if you ask me. But well.
Nicknames: I don’t really have any?
Birthday: 15th October. I have to share my birthday with too many people I know, and don’t like, so this is quite bothering, haha.
Star Sign: Libra.
Occupation: I’m currently a student, well, for three more months,..’til the summer. Let’s put it like that, shall we?

Appearance 💅

Hair colour: Brown, basic brown.
Hair length: Hm, right now they are going down a bit under my shoulders.
Eye colour: Brown. SO unoriginal, if you ask me, haha.
Best Feature: I’m nice? Probably? I don’t know, I always try my best to be kind to other people.
Piercings: Only ear piercings.
Tattoos: I’m WAY too scared to get one. But I love little ones, they are so pretty?
Right or Left: Right? Because I’m guessing that means right-handed?

Firsts 🎈

Best Friend: My sister. Then and now, always my best friend.
Award: Does getting my high school diploma / my first year of masters’ degree with the highest mention counts? I never had any award, maybe I should get the award for the MOST John-Green obsessed, haha.
Sport: Bike, probably?
Real Holiday: Can’t remember, I always travelled with my family for as long as I can remember. I feel lucky. It was probably the South of France.
Concert: The Jonas Brothers was my first huge concert, haha. Sorry not sorry.

Film: A 10-hour long movie called The 10th Kingdom. WHY? Why not. There are trolls, talking dogs, magical kingdom after the fall of Snow White and all of the fairy tales we know. It’s AWESOME.
TV Show: Friends. Always and forever that show.
Colour: Blue, maybe?
Song: I DO NOT KNOW. I love so many songs. Taylor Swift’s All Too Well maybe.
Restaurant: I don’t know, you won’t know the names since it’s in France, I guess? I love italian food. I love Shake Shack too, haha.
Shop: Am I allowed to say Barnes & Noble ? WHY DO I LIVE IN FRANCE?!
Books: No. This isn’t an allowed question. Looking for Alaska, sure. But I’ll Give You The Sun, too. I CAN’T CHOOSE.

Watching: A French show on TV about food. I love food, okay?

  1. Ghosts were my biggest fear when I was a kid. I 100% believed in them. I think it mainly stemmed from me watching the TV Show “Unsolved Mystery”… It’s probably the worst show for a kid to watch. I grew up with a fear of ghosts, and even now I can’t go to haunted houses or stay calm if I hear weird noises if I’m home alone. I would say I don’t completely believe in them now though? Maybe only a bit, haha 😛

    1. Ohhh well no worries, I’m the same. I didn’t watch that show, but I read a ton of Goosebumps books and afterwards needed to look under my bed a billion times before sleeping, ahah. It’s just so weird. I’m sure there are so many things about the world we don’t know, and ghosts are right now watching us? This gives me chills…!

      1. The creepiest thing about them is that we can’t know for sure if they’re there! At least if I were scared of spiders, I’d be able to see them and know for sure if they were in my room watching me sleep… 😦

It’s just weird, you’re so right…in the same time, it’s weird to be scared of something you can’t see, but well, it’s even more terrifying at the same time. Ghost stories aren’t for us, at all, I guess, ahah!

    Wow, I think you have just convinced me to watch a TEN hour film. Man, I haven’t watched any movie past what, 2 hours? TIME TO CHANGE. The 10th Kingdom huh, need to check that out 🙂 AHA, Friends makes its appearance again, is this a sign? NEED TO WATCH NEED TO WATCH.

    PHAHA, I’m scared of anything supernatural. Its the books and the movies I’m telling you. I don’t know if I necessarily believe in them but like you I get scared easily and if someone handed me a Ouija board? I WOULD RUN. I don’t know, would I like to meet a ghost? I mean they could be cool. Or not. Damn, I would not like to meet the second option. Okay, this is not answering the question… I DON’T KNOW. I have no idea what my brain thinks so yeah 🙂

    I think I would like to live in a book but then I would want to live here. Could I choose two? Like I’d be me in this world and then jump into a mirror or something and turn into ass-kicking, awesome fighter main character? OR I’d like to be Cinder. I haven’t read all the books, but… 1. I WANT TO BE A CYBORG 2. She seems LOTS cool 3. Kai 🙂 I’d like a contemporary I guess, but then I am already living one and I’m happy with how it is 🙂 So yeah, what type of book? FANTASY WITH AWESOME STUFF.

    1. Awww thank you, I have to say I was having a good hair day hahaha, they aren’t that wavy usually, but I do try, haha, thank you you are making me blush ❤
      It's a ten hour movie, but it's divided in 6 parts I think, really it could be called a mini-series, but for me it really is a movie. It's all kinds of awesome, even if it's a bit old, I can watch it a billion times (and I alreayd did) and I LOVED IT everytime more. And YES WATCH FRIENDS and come thank me afterwards 😛

        I just finished Scarlet a little while ago and it was AWESOME. ARGH, I loved it even more than the first one I think and you will meet new characters and new ships that will make your heart sing and your brain just want to bathe in a sea of love and fluffy warmth (AND ALSO IT WILL HURT, OH DAMN IT WILL HURT SO BAD).       1. Yup. I feel the same way too, haven’t seen a lot of people mentioning it. I think the sequel was suppose to be about Wolf. Hopefully someone will pick it up. Netflix, please?

        Have you watched the Voyage of the Unicorn? It’s somewhat similar to the 10th kingdom. Not as good, but still enjoyable.

    I believe in aliens, ghosts and miracles. I like to think those things do exist out there because there’s so much we don’t know about the world they could be true

        Yeah, plus I think it’d be kind of depressing if in the whole universe we were the only ‘people’ in it. I guess there’s so much we still have to discover about the earth and the universe. I must have seen every episode of Friends so many times now, it’s always something I re-watch just on a whim 😀

        I know right!? And there’s no way we’ve explored the whole of the universe, hell I don’t think we’ve even explored all the the earth itself! I think I remember reading somewhere online that we’ve only gone down a fraction of some oceans depths, there loads more we haven’t reached yet.
        I think eventually we’ll have more answers, whether it’ll happen in out lifetime is anyone’s guess!

      9. I keep lists for literally everything but I like to keep my blogging slightly organised, it just helps me to plan things out. That notebook is literally my life right now 🙂 I write something in it every day be it notes on reviews or plans for what I’m posting next!

      11. I don’t plan everything down to the minutest detail, it’s mainly keeping a list of what tags I need to post still and what reviews I want to write in the upcoming week. I’m the same actually, I have so many empty notebooks on my shelves that I need to write something in but never seem to get around to!

      13. I would literally forget everything if I planned it in my head. I have a terrible memory so I need to write things down to actually remember them! I could spend hours in Paperchase browsing all the pretty stationary, it’s one of my spending vices along with books 😀

      15. This is why I write stuff down. I still forget a lot of things though, mainly to pass on phone messages to my parents which is embarrassing when the person calls back wondering why they haven’t heard from my parents yet!
        I have a weakness for pretty things, I’ll pick up notebooks and think of all the things I could do with them but then I never do anything, and then I’ll go out and buy more notebooks! It’s a never ending circle 🙂

    A movie that is 10 HOURS LONG! And they couldn’t do this for Harry Potter?!
    A fact about me is that I would love to travel the world and everything but have a really bad fear of flying!

    1. Aww thank you so much Geraldine, you’re so sweet! I guess it’s a pretty common name in France, there was always at least another Marie in ALL of my classes since I’ve been to kindergarden, haha.
      I did, it’s kind of a fantastic adventure as well, one of the craziest thing I’ve done ahah, I really loved them, and it makes me sad they broke up. I try to listen to their own music now, but I’m not such a fan…Did you listen to them? 😀 (So glad I’m not being shamed for this, haha)

A lot of the Sarah Dessen settings take place in a make believe beachtown in North Carolina, and I live in South Carolina, which is close enough so I’d say I love to visit that fictional town. 😉 And YOU HAVE A DESPICABLE ME TOP?!   21. YAY! Getting to know bloggers! This was so awesome to read. OMG I looove All Too Well, it gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. Same with Dear John by her. I think Barnes and Noble is my favourite shop too and I’ve only ever been to one. It’s so pretty and has much better variety and quality than a lot of Australia’s book shops. Wow I’ve never heard of the 10th Kingdom but it sounds epic. I’ll have to check it out. It was great getting to know a bit more about you Marie 🙂

  22. THE JONAS BROTHERS! They were also my first big concert and considering I live in a country people rarely come for concerts, it was a HUGE deal. I used to be a big fan and I’m still bitter on the fact they broke up before releasing their 5th album.
    I relate on having your sister as a best friend. My older sister is someone I can always rely on and thankfully we have a great relationship. Maybe that’s why I appreciate so much books with female siblings on it; although I’m always here for the bromances, sisters are awesome too!

  23. YAS Taylor Swift’s Red album! I adored that album so much.All Too Well was one of my favourites too along with Everything Has Changed. And omg food shows make me so hungry like I’m just in front of the TV pretending my chips are a rib eye steak or something XD This is such a great tag, I feel like I know you that much better 😀

Especially love the trolls and their saturday night fever and Wolf. I think it was a TV mini series though, but in the copy I have it’s just a really long movie omg haha

  29. Okay, so I have no idea why I didn’t know this (or maybe I did and forgot?) but, YOU LIVE IN FRANCE? THAT IS SO COOL! I am taking second year french language right now and I love it (but I am an American so I don’t know it very well…) I really hope to go to France (and all over the world) someday. I love these types of posts because I love getting to know my webernet friends better! Thanks!

  30. This is such a great tag! While I like to keep my personal details on the down low as well, this one seems pretty harmless. Taylor Swift can do no wrong. As far as watching a 10 hour movie, I am not sure I could get through it! ❤

    1. I don’t really like to talk a lot about myself, because it’s part of my personality, and well, I just, don’t, ahah. But yes this tag is pretty harmless, and it’s a lot of fun, giving away a little bit about yourself without being over the line.
