Top Ten Tuesday (24) : Top Ten Books on my Fall TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Brokeandbookish. This week’s theme is Top Ten Books on my Fall TBR. I don’t think I will read all of these in Fall, as classes started again, and I have less time to read. (Trust, me, I hate this). However, I will do my best to do so, starting with this little selection of books I’m dying to read next. As always, you can click on the title of the book for a Goodreads link 🙂

1 • The Next Together, Lauren James

Look at this cover. Read the great synopsis, about alternative times and people who keep meeting each other. And, damn, this book certainly is one I NEED to get soon.

2 • The Knife of Never Letting Go, Patrick Ness

I keep hearing good things about this book, and, to be honest, I was completely convinced by Patrick Ness’ talent in More than this. This book will be read as soon as possible!

3 •  Pretending to be Erica, Michelle Painchaud

This crazy synopsis, and the fact that it’s a debut, only makes me want to read this more It’s been on my TBR for a while, and now that it’s finally out, I can’t wait to get it.

4 • The Infinite Sea, Rick Yancey

I was hooked, and kind of freaked out, while reading The 5th Wave…so I’m half terrified, and half impatient to read the second installment of this series.

5 • Firsts, Laurie Elizabeth Flynn

This book was my pick for a Waiting on Wednesday, and I’m so happy to say that I got approved on Netgalley to read it!! So it’s going on my fall TBR, obviously.

6 • The Summer of Chasing Mermaids, Sarah Ockler

This book got amazing reviews, and, after seeing around a bunch of quotes, I’m already interested by the author’s writing style.

7 • The Accident Season, Moïra Fowley-Doyle

With a synopsis like that, intriguing at best, I can’t not put this book on my TBR, and the sooner, the better!.

8 • Never Always Sometimes, Ali Alsaid

I loved Let’s Get Lost, and I’m very eager to see how this book goes. It’s got mixed reviews, but a best friends story is almost always a win, for me…I guess I’ll see!

9 • I’ll Give You The Sun, Jandy Nelson

I don’t know why I’m only talking about this book now, it’s been on my TBR forever! I think it’s time I give it a try, it’s gotten fabulous reviews, and it seems very good.

10 • Liars, Inc., Paula Stokes

I can’t believe I still didn’t pick up this book. With an intriguing and imaginative synopsis, and a male main character, written by a woman..well that certainly sounds good!

Did you read any of those books? What did you think? Which one should I pick up first?  Let me know in comments!

  1. I adored The Accident Season!! Hope you will to. The Next Together is also one of the books I am itching to read, love the sound of the concept. I also heard great things about Firsts!

    1. Actually, your review convinced me to read it, ahah, so I hope I will enjoy it as much as you did! 😀 The concept of The Next Together certainly is new, I’m really excited about this.

  2. I just started Firsts and I’m liking it so far. Definitely a unique story, very different from a lot of other YAs. I still haven’t read Patrick Ness! Is More Than This a good place to start?

    1. I’m glad to hear you’re liking it! It already seemed a bit different from the synopsis, I’m really excited to see what it’s like! 🙂
I think it is, well, it was a good place to start for me 🙂 I only read this one, but I was completely hooked right from the start. It’s such an unique story! I hope you’ll pick it up 🙂

  3. I’m so excited for your fall TBR because I’ve read and loved a lot of these! I loved The Knife of Never Letting Go, The Summer of Chasing Mermaids (although you really should have read it in the summertime ;), The Accident Season (perfect for fall!), I’ll Give You the Sun, and Liars, Inc.! I hope you have a lovely fall 🙂

    1. Aw you’re right, I should have read The Summer of Chasing Mermaids this summer, it would have fit better, but the season passed by so quickly! I’m glad to hear you liked a lot of those, I hope I’ll enjoy them as much as you! 🙂
Thank you so much for your comment, Jen! 🙂

  4. I’ll Give You The Sun is incredible, I absolutely loved it! Forgot The Accident Season when I was compiling my TTT, it sounds really interesting. I hadn’t heard of Pretending to be Erica, but it sounds like a lot of fun! My TTT.

  5. You have some amazing books here! The Infinite Sea is brutal, but awesome. The Knife of Never Letting Go is also amazing. I read the whole thing on a horrifying ten hour coach journey a couple years ago. It made the experience go much faster, I think.

I’ll Give You The Sun is probably one the best books I’ve read so far this year. Jandy Nelson won the Printz for it, and it isn’t hard to see why. I hope you like it as much as I did!

    1. Thank you so much! That’s mostly what I’m scared of, when thinking about The Infinite Sea. I found the 5th Wave kind of intense, and I’m sure this one will go on the next level…so I hope I’m ready for it, haha! 🙂 Oh wow, it must be really good if you read it like that!
Thank you so much for your opinion on these books, it makes me want to read them so much more now! 😀
